  1. Update on endometriosis and infertility (IVF)

    Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Hi guys, Happy New Year! I'm so excited for 2014. Sorry for the short hiatus, I started a new blog about infertility and IVF. My DH and I have decided to go through with IVF.

Here is what's been happening, you can also find detailed information on this on my new blog:
    • March 2013: My last shot of Lupron is wearing off. DH and I have decided to skip the acupuncture and are looking to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE).
    • April 2013: My DH and I went to see a RE (IVF Specialist).
      • Decided to take some time off work to concentrate on my IVF.
    • April/May 2013: IVF Fresh Cycle #1 - BFN
    • June/July 2013: IVF Fresh Cycle #2 - BFN
    • July/August 2013: IVF Cycle #3 Frozen Embryo Transfer - BFN
      • Got my certification in Yoga. I'm so happy! Yoga really helped me tremendously when I was stressed and working. I'm glad I can now share this with others. I'm still looking for a gig!
    • December 2013IVF #4 Frozen Embryo Transfer - BFP! YES!
    • January 2014: IVF Cycle #4 Dilation and Curettage
It has been a trying time for the body and mind. There has been laughter and tears. When it rains, it pours. I can't imagine how other couples dealing with infertility do it. When we first started on the IVF road, we were really excited and probably told a fair share of the people we know. After three failed attempts, we didn't want to talk about it anymore. But too late, we have already told people. So the inquiries were hard to answer as we are more cautious.

The day after Christmas, we found out the embryo wasn't developing correctly. On January 3, 2014 we had a dilation and curettage. Our Dr.s' advised to try again in another two months or so. But I am so hopeful about 2014!
