Next step in treatment of endometriosis
Sunday, August 12, 2012
I got in touch with my doctor’s office on Friday. Although I missed my cycle last month due to Lupron, I am spotting this month. Her office called me back and asked me to go and get an MRI and Ultrasound in order to find out if the fibroids have subsided on the left interior wall. My MRI is scheduled for next Friday. I will schedule my ultrasound next week. Now that I have been on Lupron for a full month, I’m noticing some symptoms more prominent than others. I am not sure if it’s stress at work or the onset of depression due to Lupron. But I am constantly in a bad mood. We'll see what the results of the MRI and ultrasound are!Posted by IVF Blogger at 9:00 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |

Life with endometriosis
Tuesday, August 7, 2012
We had a conversation with our OB-GYN, she said my situation with endometriosis, I should be doing one of three things at all time. One: birth control; two: Lupron; three: pregnancy. Basically, when we are done with family planning, I need to stay on birth control for the rest of my adult life. Her advice for me was to have a hysterectomy in my 50s. That way, I do not have to worry about taking medicine. With that weighing on my mind, I’m taking it one day at a time, especially since I’m only in my second of nine months of taking Lupron. Needless to say, we think the process is too long but we are determined to start a family.Posted by IVF Blogger at 9:25 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |

Yoga and endometriosis
Monday, August 6, 2012
I read the other day that someone posted on her blog that practicing yoga helped her deal with endometriosis. I have been practicing yoga for the past year. Although I see the health reasons and spiritual benefits, I’m not sure it helps me deal with endometriosis and the pain on a monthly basis. When my hubby and I decided to start a family, my mom recommended that I start yoga. She knew someone who took yoga (prenatal yoga) and it helped her with the birthing process. Now that I know my route is a little different with Lupron, I still spend my time practicing yoga.Posted by IVF Blogger at 10:05 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |

Second thoughts about Lupron
Thursday, August 2, 2012
My husband and I have been trying to start a family for the last year. I’m afraid I have not thought through the side effects of Lupron. Some of the side effects I have been experiencing are: acne, hot flashes at night, cramps at night and slight heart palpitation (today). My OB-GYN assured my husband and me that we are going to have a family (either through intrauterine insemination [IUI] - which requires me to be on Lupron for 9 months - 1 year or IVF). Meanwhile, I’m taking Lupron because she wants to give us a chance to start a family in a less invasive way. I realized by the time I have to go through IVF, I would have already taken Lupron and the damage is done.Posted by IVF Blogger at 10:00 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Introduction
Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Hello and welcome to my blog about living with endometriosis and trying to start a family. I got married a year ago and have been trying to start a family ever since. I live in sunny California with the hubby. After seeing an OB-GYN for a year with no results, I decided to see another OB-GYN for a second opinion. And she is great! It's important to feel comfortable talking to your OB. If you don't feel comfortable or if you feel like you need a second opinion, I would encourage you to seek out a second opinion. It's the best decision I have made so far.A couple of months back, my OB-GYN performed a laparoscopic surgery to remove the cysts. Immediately after the laparoscopic surgery, my OB-GYN recommended I take Lupron. I took my first shot last month. I'm still learning about Lupron and its side effects.Stay tuned for more updates!Posted by IVF Blogger at 10:00 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |
